Hi there, I am Ronald ten Berge: a landscape photographer and software developer from the Netherlands.
My first digital camera was a Canon PowerShow A80, bought around 2004 it served me well until 2006.
In 2006 I switched to a Fuji FinePix S5600 and many family photo's later I bought my first "real" camera, a Canon EOS 450D.
This was also the time I started to get interested in landscape photography.
Around 2009 I've switched from Canon to Nikon and I'm currently using a Nikon Z8.
And due to the electronic shutter, this should at least keep me happy for the next 10 years, or 5 ;-).
As long as I can remember, I've always been interested in technology and photography.
I got my hands on my first PC around 1995, it was built around the Intel 486 DX2 and I managed to break it (by clearing the bootloader if I remember correctly) within a day, good times.
Programming was something I tried to get into (Borland Delphi), but besides installing the software I had no idea what I was doing.
And the idea of programming faded a bit to the background.
This all changed while studying business informatics, where I've got the assignment to create a simple website.
I managed to learn myself enough HTML, CSS, and PHP to be dangerous, and looking back it might have been better to study computer science instead.
Time flies, and I've now been working as a software developer/architect for about 18 years already.
